Verifier chains separate generation from judgment. A workflow that drafts a decision should not be the same workflow that decides whether the decision is sufficiently supported.

Useful verifier chains check source evidence, policy fit, missing assumptions, counterexamples, and escalation requirements. Some checks can be deterministic while others use a smaller, constrained model prompt.

The point is not to add ceremonial review. The chain should produce a release signal: pass, revise, escalate, or block. Those outcomes become operating telemetry for the reasoning system.
